Beyond Planner Productivity: Why AI’s Real Event Revolution Starts with the Attendee

AI is rapidly reshaping the event industry, but most of the conversation has centered on the planner: faster content creation, smarter workflows, better automation, and operational efficiency. Those gains matter. But they are only half the story.

For attendees, AI is too often treated as an add-on, an experiment, or a chatbot waiting in the corner to answer questions. The result is a major missed opportunity. Modern events are full of value (sessions, sponsors, networking, communities, demos, meetings, content) but attendees still struggle to discover what matters most to them in the moment. Josh, Amego’s VP of AI, will introduce a practical framework for demystifying AI in the attendee journey, including how to move beyond reactive tools and toward intelligent and highly individualized guidance that helps attendees effortlessly extract the most value in the quickest amount of time, without needing to go look for it.

Amego will then be joined on stage by leaders from Atlassian and InVision to connect this vision to real-world enterprise reality. Together, the conversation will explore what it actually takes to deploy AI responsibly, usefully, and at scale inside complex organizations and across complex event portfolios: balancing innovation with governance, data readiness, stakeholder alignment, adoption, and measurable attendee value.

Finally, the session will move from theory to action. Participants will see how (by adopting the above methodology) attendee-facing AI can be launched quickly and practically, using a CEMA-branded example. Rather than leaving AI as an abstract concept, attendees will learn how they can plug in their own website or event content and begin creating an AI-powered attendee experience in minutes.
